SpiceJet fare lock offer: Aviation company SpiceJet on Thursday announced the relaunch of ‘SpiceLock’, which is a unique service in itself. This allows passengers to lock their desired fare for 48 hours without naming them. Thus helping the company’s passengers to plan their trips without worrying about cost of fares, availability of seats or finalization of co-travellers.
Many advantages of fair locking service
Talking about this fare locking service, this service enables its passengers to reserve their booking so that all the tickets for the selected flight are not sold out. At the same time, the fare should not increase while finalizing the planning of the journey. This scheme can be availed with or without name, which makes it extra safe and convenient.
There will be benefit on both domestic and international routes
Passengers flying both domestic and international flights operated by SpiceJet can now enjoy this service with assured seat and price security. This service will be applicable for flights where the date of travel is at least seven days from the date of booking of domestic flight and 15 days for international flights.
Rent will be locked with a nominal payment
Customers can opt for SpiceLock by paying a nominal fee starting from Rs 99. While the government has removed the airfares limit, many airlines have come up with various offers to attract passengers.
SpiceJet trying makeover
It is worth noting that the condition of this company is very bad these days. The company is facing fund crunch. SpiceJet has incurred a loss of Rs 784 crore for the quarter ended June 30, compared to a loss of Rs 731 crore a year ago. The company had a loss of Rs 485 crore in the quarter ended March. To overcome some of these challenging situations, the airline has appointed Ashish Kumar as its CFO i.e. Chief Financial Officer. Ashish Kumar replaces Sanjeev Taneja, who stepped down on August 31. Prior to joining SpiceJet, Ashish Kumar was working as Vice President (Corporate Finance) at InterGlobe Enterprises since January 2019.
