This decision has been taken by the Railways in view of the decreasing cases of corona virus across the country. After the success of “Shri Ramayana Yatra” train operated on Ramayana circuit, IRCTC has now decided to start “Dekho Apna Desh” Chardham Yatra.

This entire journey will be of 16 days. The Yatra will start from Delhi Safdarjung Railway Station on September 18, 2021. First of all the journey to Badrinath will be covered, which will include Mana Village (near China border), Narsingh Temple (Joshimath), Rishikesh, Jagannath Puri, Golden Beach of Puri, Contains Konark Sun. Temple, Chandrabhaga beach, Rameshwaram with Dhanushkodi, Dwarkadhish with Nageshwar Jyotirlinga, Shivrajpur beach and Bet Dwarka.

During this journey, passengers will travel a total of 8500 km. The state of the art deluxe AC tourist train will have two fine dining restaurants, a modern kitchen, shower cubicles in the coach, sensor-based washroom function, foot massager among many other amenities.
This fully air-conditioned train will have First AC and Second AC coaches. Each coach of the train will have CCTV cameras and security guards. IRCTC has started this special tourist train under “Dekho Apna Desh” initiative of Government of India to promote domestic tourism.

The fare for the journey in this train is Rs.78,585 per person. This price of the package includes AC train fare, accommodation in deluxe hotels, food, commuting in AC vehicles except in hilly areas and sightseeing, travel insurance and services of IRCTC tour managers.
covid rules
This deluxe tourist train will have bookings for around 120 tourists against a total capacity of 156 to ensure safety measures due to COVID-19. Also, at least the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory for the age group of 18 years and above. IRCTC will provide a safety kit to all tourists to carry face masks, hand gloves and sanitizers.
