Indian Railways: Platform ticket fare has become expensive at these 14 stations, know the new price

Indian Railways has increased the platform ticket price at 14 railway stations of Lucknow division. The charge at these stations has been increased from Rs 30 to Rs 50. The increase in these platform tickets is applicable from 26 October to 6 November. In a statement from the railways, it has been said that this increase has been done to reduce the congestion of stations in the festival season.

Suresh Kumar Sapra, Railway Manager, Lucknow Division said that in view of festivals like Bhai Dooj and Chhath, the facilities of the passengers are being taken care of. Along with this, TET and RPF personnel have been deployed at the stations.

Platform ticket extended at which stations
Indian Railways has increased platform tickets at Lucknow Junction, Varanasi Junction, Barabanki Junction, Ayodhya Cantt, Ayodhya, Akbarpur, Shahganj, Jaunpur Junction, Sultanpur Junction, Rae Bareli, Janghai, Bhadohi, Pratapgarh and Unnao stations.

On the other hand, Lucknow’s Senior Divisional Manager, Northern Railway, Rekha Sharma said that the prices have been increased in view of the upcoming festivals. These festivals attract a large number of people to the railway stations. Due to this increase, only those passengers will come, who have to catch or come from here, there will be no extra rush.

Platform ticket fare hiked for the second time
Let us tell you that this is the second time in a month that the Indian Railways has increased the ticket charges. Earlier on October 2, the price of platform ticket was increased from Rs 20 to Rs 30 at many stations of Lucknow division. According to officials, the revised fee will remain in force till November 5.

250 special train for chhath puja
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has informed that Indian Railways is running 250 special trains for Chhath Puja. These trains are being run on railway routes like Darbhanga, Azamgarh, Saharsa, Bhagalpur, Muzaffarpur, Ferozepur, Patna, Katihar and Amritsar etc. to connect major places across the country.
