27 routes have also been selected
In the series of changes being made by the Railways, there is a preparation to replace Intercity and Jan Shatabdi Express with Vande Bharat Express, a semi-high speed train. Giving information about this, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav himself had said that in the coming time, the Railways will operate Vande Bharat trains on the routes of Shatabdi, Jan Shatabdi and Intercity trains. Preparations are going on for this and 27 routes have been selected.
Vande Bharat Express will soon run on two routes
Keeping in mind the convenience of passengers, preparations are on to operate Vande Bharat train on two more routes on the occasion of New Year. At present, 5 Vande Bharat trains run on different routes in the country. With their operation, there will be relief from the problem of getting cold in the train because all the coaches are air-conditioned. Many times in Intercity Express, if tickets are not available in AC coaches, passengers have to take general coach tickets.
Preparation to connect 75 cities with ‘Vande Bharat’
Let us tell you that lakhs of passengers travel daily by Shatabdi, Jan Shatabdi and Intercity Express. Keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers, the Railways has taken this big decision. PM Modi had announced to connect 75 cities by ‘Vande Bharat’ train by the year 2023. Railway Board is working fast on this. Traveling by Vande Bharat is a different experience. The Railway Minister had told at the time of the announcement that in the first phase, Vande Bharat train will operate on 27 routes including Delhi-Lucknow, Delhi-Amritsar and Puri-Howrah.
