IRCTC News: Rajesh Kumar, CPRO of ECR said that within the last one week, more than 24 pairs of passenger special trains have been run in different routes. Travel can be done in these trains without making reservation.

Indian Railway latest news: In the Corona epidemic lockdown, there was a kind of brake on the services of Indian Railways, which is now back on track to a great extent. During the unlock, the express trains started running continuously as Kovid Special Trains and now more than 65 percent trains are running on the track. In recent times, unreserved trains have also started, in which you will be able to travel without making reservation.

Let us inform that in June 2020 last year, Mail Express trains started as special, but unreserved class tickets were not available in them. It was illegal to travel in these trains without reservation. At the same time, passenger trains were also kept closed. But now the unreserved category has also been unlocked for the convenience of the passengers.

Rajesh Kumar, Chief Public Relations Officer of East Central Railway, Hajipur Zone, told TV9 Hindi Digital about this that within the last one week, more than 24 pairs of Passenger Special Trains have been run in different routes. First on March 5 and then on March 8, passenger special trains have started operating in many routes. Travel can be done in these trains without making a reservation.

Facility in 33 trains of Western Railway

Indian Railways has marked 33 trains of West Zone for unreserved category. These trains are running as special trains, in which general class coaches will also be present as before.

According to Sumit Thakur, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, till further notice, a total of 33 special trains consisting of General Second Class, DEMU and MEMU coaches have been approved to run as unreserved special trains instead of reserved special trains.

Out of 65 special services of these trains, 12 services are from Mumbai Central Division, 22 services to Ratlam Division, 8 services to Ahmedabad Division, 13 services to Vadodara Division, 6 services to Rajkot Division and 4 services to Bhavnagar Division.

Out of these 33 trains, 29 trains are of Passenger Special Category, while the other 3 trains are of Mail/Express Category.

Even without reservation in the general class, more fare will be charged

Ordinary Mail Express trains are being run by Indian Railways as specials, in which the fare is also being charged more than usual than on special days. Now these rules have also been implemented on unreserved tickets in the general category.

For the trains which have been marked as unreserved trains or will be forwarded by the Railways, the fare will be applicable as per Mail Express trains for travel.

This means that even in passenger special trains, the fare will be higher than normal. The most important thing is that at present, unreserved travel tickets will be issued only for select trains.

Tickets can be taken from both the booking counter and the UTS app

Not only can you get unrbeserved tickets for general category from the booking counters of railway stations, you can also book tickets through the mobile app UTS. For this, UTS app of Railways should be installed in your Android mobile or iPhone.

By creating a user ID account here, you can deduct the ticket by paying through the payment merchant.

The ticket booked from the app will be saved in your mobile only. There will be no need to print it separately. When the TTE comes for ticket checking in the train, then Apple can show them the soft copy of the ticket in the mobile. That would be enough.

It has been instructed by the Railways that it will be mandatory to follow the Kovid protocol at the station or during the journey. Passengers will be required to follow adequate social distancing, wear face masks and follow other guidelines.
