Toronto. There is great news for Indians going to Canada. Actually, Canada has announced to lift the ban on direct flights coming from India.
Now from Monday (27 September) Indian flights will be able to fly again to Canada. Canada has lifted this ban after about five months.
Announcing this decision, Transport Canada tweeted on Saturday, “From September 27th at 00:01 EDT, direct flights from India will be able to land in Canada. For this additional public health measures will be implemented.”
Negative report of Kovid-19 required
Transport Canada said that passengers should have a negative report of Kovid-19 from an accredited laboratory of Delhi Airport. This report must be from at least 18 hours from direct flights to Canada.
There have been several changes in the date of allowing direct flights. In
April, Canada banned all direct flights to and from India. At that time the second wave of Kovid-19 epidemic was going on in the country. The date of allowing direct flights from India was changed several times. India’s High Commissioner to Canada Ajay Bisaria said that this is a decisive step towards normalizing air connectivity between the two countries.
