Regional carrier Star Air Company has announced that it is going to start air services between two cities of Maharashtra, the capital Mumbai and Kolhapur. While issuing a press release on this matter, Star Air has informed that the company is going to start a new air service between Mumbai to Kolhapur. Now passengers will be able to travel thrice a week by flight from Mumbai to Kolhapur.
The flight will run under the UDAN scheme
Star Air has told that the company has decided to start the operation of the flight between Mumbai and Kolhapur under the UDAN scheme. Significantly, under the UDAN scheme, the central government is trying to connect small parts of the country by air. The inauguration of Star Air flight has been launched by Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia in a virtual way.
At the same time, State Civil Aviation Minister VK Singh was present in this program. Apart from Mumbai to Kolhapur, Star India is operating flights between 19 places of the country. In this, Star Air flights are operating under UDAN scheme between total 19 cities like Ahmedabad, Ajmer, Bangalore, Belgaum, Delhi, Indore, Jodhpur, Mumbai, Nashik, Surat, Tirupati, Jamnagar etc.
