The formal announcement of the closing dates of the doors of Chardham was made in Uttarakhand on Vijayadashami. According to this announcement, the doors of Gangotri Dham will first be closed on Friday, November 05 for the winter season. On the other hand, the doors of Yamunotri Dham and Kedarnath will be closed on Saturday, November 6.
Whereas after this, the doors of Lord Badri Vishal will be closed on Saturday, November 20, 6 days after Dev Uthani Ekadashi. At the same time, the date of closure of the doors of Lord Panch Kedar has also been announced for the winter.
According to the information coming out, before the closure of the doors for the winter, there is an increase in the number of pilgrims for darshan in the Chardhams. In such a situation, so far about 1.25 lakh pilgrims have visited Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, Yamunotri Dham. According to the Uttarakhand Devasthanam Management Board, 1,14,195 pilgrims have visited the Chardhams till Thursday.
After announcing the dates for the closure of the doors of the Char Dhams, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the Char Dham Yatra would continue in the state without any interruption till the doors were closed. At the same time, Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj said that every year the doors are closed according to the prescribed traditions. In such a situation, even though the Chardham Yatra may have been affected this year due to Corona, but still there was no loss in the faith of the people.
The doors will be closed from this day: The committees of Gangotri, Yamunotriworld famous Gangotri Dham and Yamunotri Dham , while announcing the dates for closing the doors, said that the doors of Gangotri Dham for the winter on Friday, November 5 at 11:45 AM on Annakoot festival. But will be closed with 6 months of law and order.
During this, the darshan of Mother Ganga will be in Mukhba. According to the information received from the Gangotri Temple Committee, the Bhogmurti of Mother Ganga will rest on Friday, November 5 at Markandeyapuri, while on November 6, Goddess Ganga will be seated in Mukhba on Bhaiya Dooj.
At the same time, the doors of Yamunotri Dham will be closed for 6 months of winter on Saturday, November 6 at 12:15 PM on the day of Bhaiya Dooj. During this, i.e. in winter, the darshan of Mother Yamuna ji will be in Kharsali. According to the information received from Yamunotri Dham Mandir Committee, Bhogmurti of Mother Yamuna ji will leave for Kharsali winter stay with her brother Shani Maharaj’s doli and will reach her winter stay in the evening on the same day.
Kedarnath: The doors of Kedarnath Dham, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, will also be closed for the winter on Bhaiya Dooj i.e. on Saturday, November 6. After this, the doli of Baba Kedar will be brought to the main seat of winter, Omkareshwar Temple, Ukhimath. During this, Baba Kedar’s Panchmukhi Chal Utsav Vigraha Doli will be seen here. And it is here during this six months that Baba Kedar will be worshipped.
Badrinath: The date of closure of the doors of the world famous eighth Baikunth Badrinath Dham has also been announced after counting the Panchag by law on the day of Vijayadashami. Under which the doors of Lord Badrinath will be closed for the winter season 6 days after Devuthani Ekadashi i.e. on Saturday, November 20 at 6:45 PM. During the winter, the stay of Lord Badri Vishal will be in the Narsingh temple of Joshimath.
Panch Kedar: Apart from all this, the date of closure of the doors of Panch Kedar has also been announced. According to which the doors of the second Kedar Lord Madhyamaheshwar will be closed on Monday, 22 November at 08:30 AM for winter. At the same time, before this, the doors of the third Kedar Tungnath will be closed on Saturday, 30 October at 01 PM.
Whereas the date of closing the doors of the third Kedar Tungnath has been fixed in the winter seat of Markandeya temple, Makkumath. After the closure of the doors, Lord Madhyamaheshwar’s Chalvigraha Doli will travel to Gondar on Monday, 22nd November, Ransi on Tuesday, 23rd November, Giria on Wednesday, 24th November. On the other hand, on Thursday, November 25, the moving Vigraha Doli will reach Omkareshwar Temple, Ukhimath. After which Madhyamaheshwar fair will be held on November 25.
