Amritsar: In order to promote religious tourism and to take forward the concept of ‘Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat’ of the Indian Railways, ‘Guru Kirpa Yatra’ from the holy city of Amritsar for the devotees who have faith in Sikhism. For the first time a tourist train is being run connecting the two important Takhts of Sikhism, Sachkhand Shri Hazur Sahib Nanded and Shri Harmandir Ji Sahib Patna. The holy Sri Guru Nanak Jheera Sahib Gurdwara in Bidar will also be a part of the yatra. On April 9, ‘Guru Kirpa Yatra’ Bharat Gaurav tourist train will leave from Amritsar Railway Station on a 7-day tour. In Bharat Gaurav train, 600 passengers will be able to travel simultaneously by a total of 09 sleeper class coaches and one each of third AC and second AC coaches.

This tourist train will have the facility of a pantry coach, which will serve vegetarian food to the tourists. Along with this, infotainment system, CCTV camera equipped, security system will also be there. Facility of payment in easy installments through Debit/Credit card has been given to ease the booking process of the tour. Passengers will also be able to board from Amritsar, Beas, Jalandhar Cantt, Ludhiana, New Morinda Junction, Chandigarh, Ambala, Kurukshetra, and Delhi Safdarjung. On the return journey, this train will come up to New Delhi from where passengers will be taken to their home station by Shatabdi Express.

Railways has kept the sleeper class fare at Rs 14100/- per person for this seven days journey. AC third class fare has been fixed at Rs 24200/- and AC second class fare at Rs 32300/-.
