India’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has extended the suspension of scheduled international passenger flights till November 30 due to the coronavirus pandemic. This ban was till 31 October, which has now been extended for a month.

The Government of India has extended the ban on international flights issued since the time of Corona lockdown till 30 November. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) issued an order on Friday saying that only international flights will be allowed on select routes. This restriction will not be applicable to international cargo flights and exclusively DGCA approved flights. Till now this ban was effective till 31 October. Services closed since 23 March

Some scheduled international passenger flights in India are suspended since 23 March 2020 due to the COVID pandemic. However, special international flights are being operated under the Vande Bharat Mission from May 2020 and under a bilateral “air bubble” arrangement with select countries from July 2020. Apart from this, international flights are being operated on many routes after special approval from DGCA.

India operating flights from 28 countries

If a passenger is thinking of coming to India from Gulf countries, then it is important for him to have some basic information. For example, despite the ban, many direct flights from Dubai, Sharjahan, Riyadh, Abu Dhabi and Muscat are operating from many cities of India. According to the website of the Ministry of Civil Aviation, India has signed ‘Transport Bubbles’ or ‘Air Travels Agreements’ with 28 countries.

Allow people to visit several categories

UAE (as per the agreement signed with the UAE), including airlines certain categories of two passengers are allowed to travel. Before this, it is written in the clause that Indian citizens or citizens of Nepal or Bhutan are stranded in the United Arab Emirates or any country in South America or Africa. They may be allowed to travel.

OIC and PIO Cardholders can travel to

India All OCI Cardholders and Persons of Indian Origin (PIO Cardholders) holding passports of any country. Apart from this, foreign nationals of UAE or other countries who want to come to India for any work other than tourist visa. There is also a separate provision for South American countries or countries in Africa.

UAE also made a big announcement

UAE has also made many new announcements for travelers coming from India. UAE’s National Crisis and Emergency Management Authority (NCEMA) has made several announcements on how visa holders residing in the UAE can come back from India. The UAE has allowed people with the World Health Organization (WHO) approved vaccine to come to their country. However, rapid polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test of these people is being done at the airport.
