The IRCTC has recently tweeted about this waiver on transaction charges from its official Twitter handle. The tweet said, “If you are an #IRCTC #SBI card on #RuPay platform user, you can now #avail a #world of #offers & #discounts at the time of #booking #train #tickets online on #IRCTC’s official website. To apply for the #card & know in detail about the offers, visit irctc.co.in today.”
One must note that apart from the waiver in transaction fees, there are certain other benefits that one can avail with the help of this IRCTC SBI credit card. They are as follows:
1) A user can redeem one’s reward points to enjoy free train tickets for oneself, his or her family and friends
2) Up to 10 per cent value back on reward points on railway bookings made through irctc.co.in. It must be remembered that one reward point is equal to Re 1
3) A user can enjoy 350 bonus reward points on transaction of Rs 500 or above in the first 45 days
4) The users will also enjoy a complimentary premium railway lounge access
5) The users will also be able to enjoy one per cent fuel surcharge waiver across all petrol pumps
Those who do not have the IRCTC SBI credit card can login to the official website of IRCTC at irctc.co.in to apply for the same. In the IRCTC website, the users will have to select the ‘Promotions’ tab and subsequently the SBI credit card option.
