Delhi Metro to be cashless and touchless soon

    Delhi Metro: Users have to register through their mobile number and email id on a mobile application called Ridlr.

    Delhi Metro: Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has decided to start cashless and touchless transactions for passengers. This initiative will save both the time and money of the passengers. DMRC is preparing to implement the QR code-based ticketing system. According to the news of Hindustan Times, DMRC (DMRC) has started work on the National Common Mobility Card Scheme of the Central Government. Along with this, the Automatic Fair Collection (AFC) gate on all the stations of Delhi Metro has been upgraded to facilitate the payment of fare of passengers or the work is in the last phase. 

    How to use this way?
    Tickets on the Airport Express line are issued using a mobile application and passengers have to scan the QR code ticket, which is sent to the users’ mobile phones at the AFC gate at the station. Users have to register through their mobile number and email id on a mobile application called Ridlr. For this, the Automatic Fair Collection (AFC) gate on all the stations of Delhi Metro has been upgraded or the work is in the last phase. 

    Facility will be available at 204 stations
    The QR code system will be available on the Delhi Metro’s nine corridors, which span 314 kilometers and 245 stations up to 204 stations. The number of average daily passengers of DMRC is 28.60 lakhs and it served 100 crores riders in the financial year 2019-20.
